Golfing at Harbour Town Golf Links

Hilton Head Island has caught the attention of vacationers since 1960 or so, but it wasn't until 1969 that it gained a place among golf destinations. It was all because of Harbour Town Golf Links. It is one of the best of Hilton Heads Attractions.

Harbour Town is ranked number 12 in Gold Magazine's Top 100 Courses You Can Play and has been a popular destination for vacationers and gold pros ever since. Arnold Palmer was known for winning a tournament here that ended one of his most memorable slumps of all time. It is a must see Hilton Head Attraction.

The 18th, is one of the "must-play" holes in golf, a 460-yard par 4. The course is difficult in nature however, my family has been playing on it since I can remember. Even as beginners, my brother and I would try our best on this difficult course. We make a point to make a tee-time in advance because they fill up quickly. If you are interested in playing at the Harbour Town Golf Links, I recommend setting up a tee-time before you leave for Hilton Head because as I said, they fill up quickly.

To the left of the entire hole is the Calibogue Sound. To the right lies trees and the Harbour Town Yacht Club. In the distance looms Harbour Town's most well-known symbol, a candy cane-striped lighthouse, along with a marina filled with very expensive boats.

As far as the pricing of this course goes, it is fairly expensive due to the prestigious nature of the course. However, there are ways to save. If you book tee-times with multiple courses, you can save 15%. Also, if you book a tee-time before 11:00am, it is only about $50
I hope this Hilton Head Attraction satisfies your need for a great golf course with a great view, and who knows, maybe you'll see a pro on the course.
