Zipline Hilton Head

One of the best Family Activities in Hilton Head is Zipline Hilton Head. This video speaks for itself.

Hilton Head Island finally caught the zip line craze! The Island’s one and only ZipLine Hilton Head, a highlight of Broad Creek Marina Adventures, is the perfect Family Activity in Hilton Head.  You will experience a 2 hour adventure that will have you soaring through the trees surrounded by stunning views of Broad Creek! From the highest point on the island, you will be able to see dolphins bobbing through the creek along with all the other wildlife.

From the massive live oaks and pines to vistas of Broad Creek, the boats, birds and marshes, it’s a sky bound adventure that only zip lining can offer. The canopy course starts low and slow and gets higher and faster as you continue zipping through the beautiful live oaks and pines of the low country.

Fly on the 8 ziplines with heights of 75 ft., cross the 2 suspended sky bridges, climb the aerial spiral staircase and embrace a thrilling finale, the dual cable Racing Zip Ride where 2 soar on adjacent cables of 900 ft for a racing challenge.

There are usually up to 8 in a group zipping along tree platforms with two guides and you must be 10 years old to participate. You’re harnessed with adventure course equipment and fully guided by professionally trained guides the entire time you are on the canopy tour.

Zipline Hilton Head is perfect for people looking for Family Activities in Hilton Head on a budget. They offer group rates and you can embark on these tours for under $50.00.

GoPro

One of the biggest issues is finding a way to document your family vacations while
1. Not spending a lot
2. Taking good quality pictures and videos
3. Not having a huge camera to carry around

I have found a way to merge the three of those into one small camera that takes HD photos for only $129.00 and it is perfect for creating memories of your Adventurous Activities in Hilton Head.

If you are looking for a camera, I certainly recommend the GoPro. It comes in 4 models however, the lowest model (which is the cheapest) has worked great for me. It has many different attachments that can be used for different things. Also, it is waterproof and can be taken in the ocean. It has picture and video capabilities and is very simple to use as it only has 2 buttons on the entire camera.
It uses a regular SD card for memory and everything can be easily uploaded onto your computer. The GoPro is known for being a good action camera as it is very durable and can be mounted different ways.
I personally have used the chest mount. I have used it for biking and zip lining. As you can see, it is great for recording your Adventurous Activities in Hilton Head. It is great because it is completely hands-free and you don't have to worry about it falling. I have also used the helmet mount for skiing. I have had great results with this product and would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a camera.

FREE Fun!

Nothing in life is free?
One of the most sought-after things while on vacation is free family fun. Especially here on the island, everyone is always looking for Inexpensive activities in Hilton Head. Here is a short list of things to do that cost little to nothing!

Beach
Hilton Head Island is known for its pristine stretches of sand that distend 12 miles long. The island has been recognized among the top 10 family beaches in the United States and is perfect for a day of fun with the entire family.
All of Hilton Heads Beaches are public but not all accesses are. Here are the public beach accesses: Alder Lane Beach Access, off South Forest Beach Drive; Coligny Beach Park, off Coligny Circle; Fish Haul Park, at the end of Beach City Road; Driessen Beach Park, at the end of Bradley Beach Road; Burkes Beach Access, at the end of Burkes Beach Road; Folly Field Beach Park, off Folly Field Road; and Islanders Beach Park, off Folly Field Road. The beach is a simple answer to your question of Inexpensive Activities in Hilton Head.

Biking
If you are driving into Hilton Head Island, one easy way to have fun is to pack your bike. One of the most popular activities on Hilton Head Island is biking. There is over 50 miles of paved paths covering the Island and not a place you cannot visit on a bike, including 12 miles of beaches.
However, if you are flying into the island or simply cannot bring a bike for the whole family, you can always rent one for the time you’ll be spending with us. Reserving bikes is easily done by calling one of the many rental companies and is a cheap and easy way to have fun with the entire family.

Animals

At the Lawton Stables in the Sea Pines resort, you can visit with a multitude of animals free of charge. If you are staying in the Sea Pines resort, Lawton stables are only a short bike ride away. You can walk up to the animals and pet them or see them in their natural habitat at the Sea Pines forest preserve. Since you can just go up to the animals like a petting zoo, you are able to spend as long as you want and is a perfect Inexpensive Activity in Hilton Head for children of all ages.

Golfing at Harbour Town Golf Links

Hilton Head Island has caught the attention of vacationers since 1960 or so, but it wasn't until 1969 that it gained a place among golf destinations. It was all because of Harbour Town Golf Links. It is one of the best of Hilton Heads Attractions.

Harbour Town is ranked number 12 in Gold Magazine's Top 100 Courses You Can Play and has been a popular destination for vacationers and gold pros ever since. Arnold Palmer was known for winning a tournament here that ended one of his most memorable slumps of all time. It is a must see Hilton Head Attraction.

The 18th, is one of the "must-play" holes in golf, a 460-yard par 4. The course is difficult in nature however, my family has been playing on it since I can remember. Even as beginners, my brother and I would try our best on this difficult course. We make a point to make a tee-time in advance because they fill up quickly. If you are interested in playing at the Harbour Town Golf Links, I recommend setting up a tee-time before you leave for Hilton Head because as I said, they fill up quickly.

To the left of the entire hole is the Calibogue Sound. To the right lies trees and the Harbour Town Yacht Club. In the distance looms Harbour Town's most well-known symbol, a candy cane-striped lighthouse, along with a marina filled with very expensive boats.

As far as the pricing of this course goes, it is fairly expensive due to the prestigious nature of the course. However, there are ways to save. If you book tee-times with multiple courses, you can save 15%. Also, if you book a tee-time before 11:00am, it is only about $50
I hope this Hilton Head Attraction satisfies your need for a great golf course with a great view, and who knows, maybe you'll see a pro on the course.

Horseback Riding on Daufuskie Island

Daufuskie Island is a beautiful and unique island, which is part of Hilton Head Island. The only way to get to Daufuskie is by boat and there are some unique considerations to think about when planning a Daufuskie outing however, I suggest horseback riding on the beach through the Seagrass stables at Melrose on the Beach. It is a suitable option when searching for Family Activities on Hilton Head Island.

As you are already aware, access to the island is by water. You have the option of taking a ferry or water-taxi to the island. Once on the island, the means of transportation to get around is by cottage cart, which you may rent by the day or week. As with any island destination, advance arrangements are recommended!

The Melrose Equestrian Center is a stunning 16-acre facility with full service stables and picturesque fenced fields. The Melrose Equestrian Center features 16 stall, tack room and storage spaces, a polo field, and is located just minutes from miles of beautiful beaches and trails. The   Melrose Equestrian Center offers beach rides, trail rides, pony rides and lessons. On Wednesday nights and Saturday nights they also offer haunted hayrides seasonally.

This is a perfect activity for large groups or just an intimate date. The Equestrian Center accommodates people of all ages and skill levels. They offer group packages that come at a discounted rate. Typically, each 2 hour trail ride is only $50 plus $10 for every hour after that. It really is a great Family Activity on Hilton Head Island.

The Sportsman’s Lodge located at the Equestrian Center has a grand fireplace, full bar, billiards, darts and plenty of room for a game of cards or a fun night with family and friends. With its country-retreat setting, the Sportsman’s Lodge is perfect for private parties and special events.
I have taken a beach ride on Daufuskie Island and it was a beautiful experience. I recommend it to everyone looking for Family Activities on Hilton Head IslandConsider taking your family on an excursion at the Melrose Equestrian Center.
